Acceptable Use Policy Effective Date: April 25, 2026 This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules that apply when you use Team-M8tes, including our website, mobile application, platform, profiles, messaging features, community features, and related services. By using Team-M8tes, you agree to follow this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and any other policies we make available. If you do not agree, you should not use Team-M8tes. Team-M8tes is designed to help sports fans connect through shared team loyalty, fandom, conversation, and community. To keep the platform safe, respectful, and authentic, all users are expected to use the service honestly, responsibly, and lawfully. 1. Be Honest and Authentic You may not use Team-M8tes to misrepresent yourself, your identity, your intentions, or your affiliation with another person, team, league, organization, company, or brand. You agree not to: • Create a fake profile or impersonate another person. • Use another person’s name, image, likeness, photos, or personal information without permission. • Misrepresent your age, location, relationship status, intentions, or other profile information. • Create multiple accounts to avoid restrictions, bans, payment requirements, team-selection limits, or other platform rules. • Attempt to manipulate or bypass Team-M8tes’ locked-team selection system, subscription tiers, or other identity-based features. • Falsely claim to represent or be affiliated with any sports team, league, athlete, venue, media company, brand, or other organization. Team-M8tes may remove or restrict accounts that appear deceptive, misleading, fraudulent, or inconsistent with the purpose of the platform. 2. Respect Other Users You are responsible for how you interact with other users. Team-M8tes is built around shared fandom and connection, but disagreements, rivalries, and competitive sports opinions must remain respectful. You agree not to: • Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, intimidate, or abuse another user. • Send unwanted repeated messages or continue contacting someone who has declined, blocked, ignored, unmatched, or asked you to stop. • Use hateful, degrading, or discriminatory language. • Shame, mock, or target someone based on personal characteristics, appearance, identity, background, beliefs, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected or personal attribute. • Encourage dogpiling, brigading, harassment, or off-platform targeting. • Share another user’s private information without permission. • Record, screenshot, copy, publish, or distribute private conversations, profiles, photos, or other user content without permission. Sports trash talk is allowed when it is playful, mutual, and respectful. Abuse, harassment, threats, or hate speech are not allowed. 3. No Harmful, Illegal, or Dangerous Conduct You may not use Team-M8tes to promote, plan, encourage, facilitate, or engage in illegal, harmful, violent, or dangerous activity. You agree not to use Team-M8tes to: • Threaten or promote violence, physical harm, self-harm, or harm to others. • Promote terrorism, extremism, criminal organizations, or violent groups. • Buy, sell, trade, solicit, or distribute illegal goods or services. • Promote or facilitate human trafficking, exploitation, coercion, or abuse. • Share instructions for illegal conduct, violence, weapons misuse, or evading law enforcement. • Engage in fraud, scams, extortion, blackmail, phishing, identity theft, or financial abuse. • Coordinate unlawful gambling, illegal betting activity, or other regulated activity in violation of applicable law. • Encourage dangerous behavior at sporting events, venues, watch parties, bars, tailgates, or meetups. If we believe a user presents a safety risk, we may restrict, suspend, or remove the account and may report the matter to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate. 4. No Sexual Exploitation or Inappropriate Sexual Content Team-M8tes is intended for adult users and respectful connections. However, users may not use the platform for exploitation, coercion, or inappropriate sexual conduct. You agree not to: • Share, request, threaten to share, or distribute intimate images or sexual content without consent. • Send unsolicited sexual content, explicit messages, or sexually aggressive communications. • Use the platform to exploit, coerce, pressure, groom, or manipulate another person. • Use Team-M8tes for prostitution, escort services, sex trafficking, or other unlawful sexual services. • Post or send content involving minors in a sexual, suggestive, exploitative, or inappropriate manner. • Misrepresent your age or interact with users in a way that violates age-related laws or platform rules. Team-M8tes may remove content or accounts that violate these rules and may report unlawful or exploitative activity to appropriate authorities. 5. No Minors Team-M8tes is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction if higher. You may not: • Create an account if you are under 18. • Misrepresent your age to access the platform. • Help a minor access or use Team-M8tes. • Share images, content, or information involving minors in a way that violates this policy, our Terms, or applicable law. We may request verification, restrict access, or remove accounts if we believe a user is underage or has misrepresented their age. 6. No Spam, Scams, or Commercial Misuse You may not use Team-M8tes to spam, scam, solicit, or commercially exploit users. You agree not to: • Send bulk, repetitive, automated, or unwanted messages. • Promote unrelated products, services, websites, apps, investments, contests, giveaways, or business opportunities without permission. • Use the platform for lead generation, scraping, recruiting, marketing, affiliate promotion, or sales outreach. • Ask users for money, gifts, donations, cryptocurrency, payment apps, financial assistance, or investments. • Promote pyramid schemes, sweepstakes scams, fake contests, fraudulent offers, or deceptive promotions. • Redirect users to suspicious websites, phishing pages, fake login pages, malware, or other harmful destinations. • Use Team-M8tes primarily to grow social media accounts, sell content, or move users off-platform for commercial purposes. Team-M8tes may remove accounts that appear to be spammy, deceptive, promotional, fraudulent, or inconsistent with genuine user connection. 7. No Platform Abuse or Technical Misuse You may not interfere with Team-M8tes, attempt to bypass our systems, or misuse the platform’s technical features. You agree not to: • Hack, disrupt, damage, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the platform. • Attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or areas of the platform without permission. • Use bots, scripts, scrapers, crawlers, automation, or data-mining tools without written permission. • Copy, harvest, scrape, or collect user profiles, photos, messages, team selections, or other platform data. • Circumvent paywalls, subscription tiers, locked-team rules, account limits, bans, suspensions, security measures, or access controls. • Test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization. • Upload malware, viruses, spyware, malicious code, or harmful files. • Interfere with payment systems, subscription flows, identity features, or team-selection limits. • Use the platform in a way that degrades performance, security, availability, or user experience. We may monitor, investigate, block, throttle, suspend, or remove accounts or activity that threatens the platform or other users. 8. No Misuse of Team, League, Venue, or Brand Names Team-M8tes allows users to express genuine sports fandom. However, unless expressly stated, Team-M8tes is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any professional or collegiate sports team, league, athlete, venue, media organization, or brand. You agree not to: • Falsely imply that your profile, account, group, message, event, or content is officially associated with a team, league, athlete, venue, or brand. • Use logos, trademarks, copyrighted materials, or branded assets in a way that violates applicable rights. • Sell or promote counterfeit merchandise, fake tickets, unauthorized experiences, or misleading sports-related offers. • Misrepresent yourself as a team employee, league representative, athlete, agent, media member, venue official, or brand partner. • Use Team-M8tes to damage, impersonate, or confuse the identity of any sports organization, league, team, athlete, or brand. Fan references, team names, and sports discussion are permitted when used honestly, lawfully, and in a way that does not falsely imply official endorsement or affiliation. 9. No Unsafe Meetups or Event Misuse Team-M8tes may help users connect around shared fandom, games, venues, watch parties, tailgates, bars, and sporting events. You are responsible for your own safety and judgment when meeting or interacting with others. You agree not to: • Use the platform to organize unsafe, unlawful, violent, or disruptive gatherings. • Encourage trespassing, ticket fraud, gate-crashing, venue disruption, fighting, harassment, or illegal conduct at events. • Pressure users to meet in private, unsafe, isolated, or uncomfortable settings. • Misrepresent the nature, location, cost, safety, or purpose of a meetup. • Use Team-M8tes to coordinate intoxicated driving, illegal substance activity, or other unsafe conduct. Team-M8tes does not control venues, public spaces, third-party locations, transportation, bars, restaurants, tailgates, watch parties, or events. Users are responsible for making safe decisions and complying with all applicable laws and venue rules. 10. Content Standards You are responsible for anything you post, upload, send, display, or otherwise make available through Team-M8tes, including profile content, photos, messages, bios, prompts, team-related content, and other user-generated content. You may not post or send content that: • Is illegal, harmful, abusive, threatening, hateful, violent, exploitative, or harassing. • Is sexually explicit, non-consensual, exploitative, or inappropriate. • Contains private information about another person without permission. • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, publicity rights, privacy rights, or other rights. • Is false, misleading, deceptive, defamatory, or impersonates someone else. • Promotes scams, spam, malware, fraudulent activity, or commercial misuse. • Contains graphic violence, gore, or content intended to shock or harm. • Encourages illegal gambling, unlawful betting, or unauthorized regulated activity. • Violates this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms, or applicable law. We may remove content at our discretion if we believe it violates this policy, creates risk, harms users, or undermines the platform. 11. Reporting Violations If you see content or behavior that may violate this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us. You can contact us at: frontoffice@team-m8tes.com When reporting an issue, please include enough information for us to review the matter, such as the user profile, message, screenshot, date, time, and description of the concern. We may not be able to share the outcome of every report, but we may review, remove content, restrict accounts, suspend users, terminate access, or take other action when appropriate. 12. Enforcement Team-M8tes may enforce this Acceptable Use Policy at our discretion. Depending on the situation, we may take one or more actions, including: • Warning a user. • Removing content. • Limiting visibility or access. • Restricting certain features. • Suspending or terminating an account. • Blocking future access. • Cancelling subscriptions or refusing service, subject to applicable law and our Terms. • Reporting illegal or dangerous activity to law enforcement, regulators, platforms, payment processors, or other appropriate parties. • Taking legal action where appropriate. We are not required to monitor every user, message, profile, or interaction, and we do not guarantee that we will identify or remove every violation. 13. Appeals If your account or content is restricted and you believe there has been a mistake, you may contact us at: frontoffice@team-m8tes.com Please include your account email, the action you are appealing, and any relevant explanation. We may review appeals at our discretion, but we are not obligated to restore access, content, or accounts. 14. Updates to This Policy We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
